But thanks to the enduring efforts of several black marketers and a female dubbing expert, average Romanians got the chance to taste the sweetest fruit of American culture: Chuck Norris movies, courtesy of smuggled second-generation VHS tapes. This doc explores how one man’s trashy action flick is another’s potent symbol of liberation and freedom.
